My professional photographic career began during the disco craze of the 1970's. With the clubs providing their own powerful strobes and dance lighting, learning to shoot in the unnatural "natural" light was both frustrating and educational. Milling throngs on the dance floor - of which any good photog was one - posed the additional challenge of holding the camera high and instinctively knowing where the lens was pointing ... and hopefully ... focused.
