Part Southern and part Lebanese; I was raised longing for a mix of the traditional and the eclectic. I spent my childhood at football games, art galleries, and coffee shops. In 2005 I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a major in graphic design and a minor in “Rocky Top.” This sparked my love affair with texture and vibrant colors that now forms the emotional backdrop of all my photographs. Furthermore, my education in the graphic arts taught me to let intuition guide my simple, graphic style and unlock the creative process. In search of new artistic endeavors and cultural inspiration during college and after, I explored seven countries, resided in five states, and interned with eight companies. Upon taking a few semesters in photography, I felt a strong desire to work behind the camera’s lense. Longing to capture the stories of people, places and things eventually led me to study photography at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta Georgia. There I have learned to fine tune my passion, and formal training in has awoken within me an artistic devotion to architecture and clean lines. These elements provide strength and balance to all my shots. When choosing subjects, I am naturally drawn to illuminating strong characters and capturing the exotic in the ordinary. As a photographer and designer I will forever be exploring new horizons, but no matter how far I travel, Rocky Top will always be "home sweet home to me."
