Hello,
I am a married, stay at home Mom to our adopted daughter from China. I am self-taught in photography, although seek every opportunity to improve my skills via tutorials, on line classes or group workshops. I use all Nikon equipment my favorite lens being the 24-70 prime.

Prior to three years ago, I was a trauma nurse for over 25 years and used my photos to teach trauma to other nurses and paramedics. I have had photos published in Denver Magazine (mid-90's) and most recently in Holt International Magazine and their annual calender. I suppose my lengthy nursing career has made me very comfortable when photographing people. I am very easy to work with and take the time to know what my clients want in their photos.

My style is rather simple and preferably candid, which is why I started out shooting babies, children and teens. I prefer the use of natural ambient light, but have to admit I like strobist and high key effects as well. I love incorporating nature and various natural backdrops into my photos when possible and have recently turned my little office into a small indoor studio using speedlights, softboxes and umbrellas as light modifiers.

I would like to eventually pursue commercial, fashion and wedding photography which is why I wanted to join MM. I know I can contribute to a future models portfolio while in return he/she helps me to build mine.
