About Me

Justin is my name and painting is my game!

Why bodypainting? Well, years ago I saw the work of Matthew Hennebury and was indeed impressed. We started to talk and hang out a lot. I went to many of his gigs and eventually the idea was really starting to grow on me.

Imagine it as: The art of man; on the art of God/the universe (however you may believe). Stunning concept, isn't it?

As an abstractionist, I see things very differently. When I look at something I see it's different layers. I can appreciate what it is and how it came to be. I can understand the story it is trying to tell.

Yes, there are many things that I do not fully understand. But that's okay. Maybe I wasn't meant to. And I am fine with that.

But one thing I do understand is that beauty goes well with beauty. The form of the human body -- such as the hourglass figure of a woman -- is a form that enhances the life of any artwork you may put on it. The form is living. Unlike that of, let's say, an hourglass, it's self. It is indeed beautiful, don't get me wrong. But what sets these two similar shapes apart is that the person is full of spirit. The person has a soul. So what's special is that the person is very much alive compared to an inanimate object.

The human body truly is a beautiful form. But it doesn't matter what shape or size. It is the temple in which our souls reside.

I can definitely appreciate a form such as the body of a woman. Who can't?
And abstract art. It's something few can understand but many can appreciate.

The two put together? Now that's a hybrid of beauty that sends chills up my spine.
