Not only is being a makeup artist my job title, but it is my passion and my life. I believe that the best artists are those who love what they do and who are not afraid to cross the line as far as creativity goes. When it comes to makeup, the word "limitless" comes to mind; I always play and experiment as much as I can because that is what separates me from the next artist. With that said, I did not join MM just so my talent could get noticed, but I want it to be appreciated and I want people to feel like they could comfortably put their trust in my hands.
I have been professionally doing makeup for four years and know I will continue to do makeup for the rest of my life. Though graduating with a BA in Psychology may not have lit the path for me like I thought it would, but not a day goes by where my degree does not come in handy in this industry! I have worked for photographers and magazines, as well as have done plenty of weddings, special events, photo shoots and more. I also worked with a few different makeup companies, such as NARS and Paint Cosmetics.
My ultimate goal is to freelance as much as possible, experience everything I possibly can, and to one day open up my own little studio in Manhattan. I want to be able to have my own place so I could show my clients who I truly am as a person and not just as their artist because, after all, being personable is extremely important when I am all up in your face :)
