Tried to be a painter artists.
About 1988 I was taking a figure drawing class at the local college in Jonesborough Ga. Had a regular job for long enough that I had some disposable income. Bought a Nikon film camera and found that it was easier than drawing. Went along for a while till I reached the point where I needed a darkroom. Could not afford the cost of the equipment and dropped photography for a while.
Computer generated film was starting to filter into the pressroom around 1995 and I bought a Mac and started teaching myself computer prepress. This is where I was introduced to Adobe Photoshop and all it entailed. 1996 started as the second shift Mac operator and eventually took over the department converting to a digital workflow.
I watched the files from digital cameras improve till in 2007 I felt they were at a point where I could invest in one. I bought a Nikon D 80 and started back in Photography again. I do weddings and events as a side business making enough to almost break even.
This year after Christmas decided to start formal studio photography with the aim of improving my photography enough to maybe go into business full time
