Why bodyscapes? My interest in bodyscape's came about from various different sources. Scientific images of Macrophotography and Atomic microscopes showing an alien-like landscape as a child probably got my first interest. Such would often be found in such publications as Scientific America, Popular Science, and National Geographic. Speaking of National Geographic, there were these images of old wrinkled people, which wrinkles reminded me of features of a weathered landscape. Another great source of inspiration came about from Edward Weston's work of nudes, landscapes, plants, and clouds. With all this as inspiration, the actual fruition of my work in bodyscape's started out in college where I was studying art. We were encouraged to think different abstract or change how things look and reinvent things. This included taking up close-ups of the human form and abstracting it into something different. From here my work in bodyscape has evolved.
I do 5 types of bodyscapes which are as follows: 1 - Bodyscapes which you take the human body and incorporate into an existing landscape. Such examples might include having a model body fit the natural curves of rocks or hips with mountains in the background. 2 - Bodyscapes in which the body is in itself a landscape. Here you focus on the actual body, the folds, curves, and form of the body to treat it as a landscape. 3 - Bodyscapes which you incorporate small mini models/figures and make into a scene. N-scale railroad figures to small toy figures such as legos are examples. 4 - Macro Bodyscapes. Here, I go to the extreme, I take super close-ups of the body, to the point it becomes almost like an alien landscape. 5 - Eroticscape. All the above examples apply but now bodyscape incorporates erotic/erogenous taboo zones of the body. Such areas include the areola/breasts, buttocks, Mons Venus, lips, and feet. If your interested in being creative part of my vision, please take a look at my work and message me. If your a retoucher, please dont contact me because this is my own creative art work and not yours. Verified Credits (0)Worked with primitivebodyscapes? Share your experience and become verified!
