About Me

Editor, "Pleasant" is head photographer for Moped Magazine. Pleasant attended Pratt Institute and studied fashion, production and motion photography at the New York School of Visual Arts. As a full-time Artist/Designer, Pleasant's work has appeared in various publications of note, some of which include, BlackBook, The Village Voice, The NY Press, Het Parool, De Volkskrant, The Nation, Time Out, RTL, Elle Magazine NL, The Woodstock Times, Vera Bradley and others.


Overview:

...At the intersection of Art, Mopeds, Fashion and Culture. Made from an inspiration of 1980’s era DIY punk, dark rock and ‘zines of long ago. Not a traditional biking publication and never will be. A celebration of the individual and the collective creative spirit of all. Retro inspired and modern, unpredictable and unapologetic. A fusion of new and old, the familiar and the unknown. A celebration of the independent and the unique.

Moped selects Artists, models and creative unique individuals from within the vintage moped/scootering communities as well as high fashion, alternative, burlesque, northern soul/mod/Skin, dark rock, metal and cabaret scenes.

MOPED Magazine is an internationally distributed independent print publication devoted to Vintage Mopeds, Fashion, Art, Music and Culture.
