About Me
I'm dipping my toe back into the photography world and aiming to work exclusively with models based in Hyogo, Japan. This profile is active for those who wish to see my past work, and some of the references I have (old though they may be).
Prior to leaving the UK I worked with a few unsigned bands on their promo materials, a fair few models building up their portfolios and scored a handful of publishing credits (Asian Woman, Mercedes Benz and a couple of local magazines). My style is generally candid, and I prefer working in street settings. I have a small mobile studio setup if that's needed. If you're a model from outside Japan - please make sure you have a valid work visa before contacting me. ........................................................................................... FAQ: Your name is Hori, but your URL is HallImages? Hall is my pre-marriage name. Hori's my wife's family name, which I've taken. If I work out how to change the URL I will. Do you speak Japanese? Enough to give direction during a shoot. I am still learning though and have a habit of switching between the two at odd times. Otherwise I'm more than happy for you to practice your English on me. I also have a tiny bit of JSL. I'm coming from overseas. Can we shoot? If you have a spouse visa, work visa, or your student visa allows it. Otherwise, no. (Before you ask, I have a spouse visa!) Do you ask for a Model release? I will ask you to sign a model release. I have both English and Japanese versions. Your profile is a bit old. Are you still active? Well, we had a pandemic and I emigrated, so it has been a while since I was in a studio. That said, it isn't like I haven't picked up a camera and photographed anyone in 5 years! Credit Notes
