Friends (9)About Me
Born a St. Louis native, C.J.'s singing and modeling career began in 1998 when he enrolled in Surrrattsville High School in Clinton, Md. and joined the gospel choir discovering a passion for music that has evoled into a burning desire to perform at the highest level. Although his love for music and modeling was evident, C.J.'s talent remained hidden until he was transferred from Surratsville High School in Md. to Cleveland Junior Naval Academy in St. Louis. As an upperclassman in Highschool, C.J. sought employment at St. Louis's Union Station and landed a job that forever change his life and his musical experience at The Fudgery. Known as the home of fudge and fun, this place was more than just a place of employment or just a weekly check. While working at the fudgery, C.J. along with the other employees worked while learning to have an ear for harmony, sang and made fudge. Throughout the duration of his employment C.J. befriended William Beard, Tommie Little and Deveaon Bady later to form the R&B singing group Clef. With plenty of practice singing before crowds at the fudgery the group went on to perform at several venues in the local St. Louis area, to include The Muny, A.J.'s night club, The Red Sea, The Genesis House cafe' as well as many more talent shows city wide. In 2002 C.J. graduated from high school and joined the United States Marine Corps bringing Clef's track record to an end. Upon completing 4 years of service, performing in talent shows off and on, he decided that it was time for a change and enrolled in Jackson State University in persuit of a degree. As a current student at JSU (Home Of The Sonic Boom Of The South) C.J. has recieved many accolades for vocal performances around the campus and had now decided to take it a step further. In the fall semester of 2006, C.J. became an active member of the MADDRAMA performance Troupe getting more time on the stage than ever. It's his time to shine so let's show one of St. Louis's own some support
