After a few years in San Diego, Asheville (NC) and Hawaii I have recently relocated to China. I am located in Zunyi, Guizhou Province, but intend to travel quite a bit while I am here, and would love to put together some shoots while I do! I joined MM years ago, but never actually ended up using it, preferring instead to network organically. As I am now in a new environment I'm hoping to use it to make some new connections! I grew up in the art world and have love for all styles of photography, but the weirder, wilder, and more fully realized the concept, the better. In addition to being an experienced photographer I am also an artist (acrylic/graf/mixed media/body paint) and will on occasion incorporate elements of this into my work.

Historically, in addition to extensive travel photography work, I have worked with models as part of conceptual pieces, as well as by request or even spontaneously simply because the situation seemed to call for it. Though I have and will occasionally continue to work in more straightforward, traditional formats, I am way more drawn to creative concepts and playing with pretty lights. I am very into the juxtaposition of the exotic with the mundane, the sacred and the profane, beauty with decay, technology with nature, and modern art culture with cross-cultural indigenous art forms. I like to shoot in places that reflect that, and quite often manipulate a given environment (natural or man-made) to fit my aesthetic. I am fascinated by light and form, and prefer to manipulate a lot of my work in real time instead of digitally whenever possible. Occasionally I moonlight on the other side of the camera as well, though I don't have an MM profile for this.

Generally I am only interested in friending models/photographers/artists with whom I would like to work or have a preexisting relationship, but I travel widely and regularly both domestically and internationally, so no matter where you're from if you would like to work together at some point in the future, I am always open to new ideas!
