I have always believed that the passion for photography was instilled in me by my parents, way back when they gave me my first point and shoot camera as a gift for my seventh birthday. I took photographs of my friends at school, during outings, on family picnics, at scouting activities and on any occasion that presented itself. Any place I went to, my camera always followed and everlasting memories were captured, photos of which still roam my study to date.
Times changed and cameras evolved, with the digital era overpowering all other photographic media. This made photography less expensive and more viable for all. In my case, this helped me to take my hobby and passion for photography a step further and back in December 2003 I decided to buy myself a Christmas present… a new Digital Camera. This led me to take a greater and more interesting view of photography and I began reading about the subject and learning better techniques thus improving on my photographic skills. At this point an old friendship was rekindled with Ronald, a school friend, with whom I had shared desks in class for so many years. Together we started to improve and with his help I managed to learn so much about the basics in the field of photography.

Together, Ronald and I started building our portfolio and took our chances in local and foreign competitions. Since then I have achieved a great deal. I won 2nd prize in the International Open Amateur Photography Contest organized by The International Library of Photography – U.S.A. and a good number of Merits in several U.K. competitions as well as other acceptances, H.M. and prizes in local competitions and exhibitions.
