October 06, 2009 1:51pm The bones of this piece are good but I feel like a few changes would give it the emotion it needs to be really successful.
The forefront figure is spectacular, the lighting, the pose, all excellent, excellent. The apparition figures in the background, despite their well considered placement and well handled alterations in opacity are still TOO CLEARLY DEFINED. These figures are your opportunity to expand and experiment with you photo-editing in a really impressionistic and fluid way. They are too real to be believed and provoke no real response. I would say that you should research actual examples of supposed "ghosts caught on film or video" or "haunting ladies" (you tube has plenty) some of the imagery is very eeiry and strangely beautiful. The apparition/spirit girls should not be so entirely clear, perhaps more blurred, perhaps only barely recognizable. This has the makings of a beautiful piece, a book cover or a fine art photograph it just needs more of your TLC.
