February 15, 2010 12:33pm "Your face makes this shot" seems all too obvious since your expression is top model material. Your team had a great themed shoot.
I always look to critique images I actually find compelling enough to comment on. I do like your photographers work on the other images in this series-and as always while in the moment photography is much harder.
As much as I like this image-I find a lot about it that reads wrong too: The angle of the camera seemed indecisive since I nether see a true profile nor does the viewer get one side-I would have looked for one or the other in this situation. The lines created by the water and the pool's edge presented opportunities, but as it is they are uncomfortable tangents to your lips and chin. Those lines could have framed the beauty of your face not distracted from it. The light is too soft where it thematically calls for contrasty or punchy colors. Over all making the composition more simplified would work better in my opinion.
Thank your MUA-as that is really great work there. As a viewer I want more of you-the subject, and I want a reason to believe that this is a cover shot, editorial look or fine art story. I would love to see more from this shoot!
