March 26, 2009 2:11am I love how she fits and doesn't fit with the background. At first glance I see a young woman with a personal style that sets her very much apart from the rural setting. Her expression seemingly lends support to the idea that she doesn't belong here; she seems pretty discontent, ambivalent at best. At closer inspection though, there isn't anything 'urban' about her appearance either, and one can't miss the fact that the colours of her clothing match up beautifully with the background framing her. She's tied to the place somehow. It all suggests a beautifully layered story... I wish you hadn't blurred the background though.
