February 13, 2009 7:32am Really creative. Seriously. It's as if the one girl is a doll or a stuffed animal, and the other girl is a cat, and you just came home to see that your cat has ripped all the stuffing out of the doll.
Unfortunately, the reality of what you intended is probably 100 miles away from what I got. What could make it better...
First, you have too little light on your subjects. The details drawing my attention in this photo are that big white window, and the brightly lit wood paneling on the wall. And the repeating vertical pattern in that wood is really distracting from your photo.
Second, speaking of patterns, you must manage patterns in your composition. That black and white pattern on her shirt just isn't helping anything -- especially against that busy background.
Third, what's with the little "fort" you guys built from a gumball machine and a tipped-over table? I don't even understand what I'm looking at.
It's all kinda tragic, really, because I think you really had some awesome potential here.
