June 08, 2006 5:36am It is a lovely picture and I compliment both the model and the photographer for their intelligent and beautiful use of Japanese imagery. However, I have one small criticism. The white boarder of the under kimono seems to run on beyond the point where the kimono folds closed. It is preferable for the two layers to close separately, rather than as one garment. I have a collection of over 100 kimonos and am a lecturer of Japanese culture, so I take an interest in such matters.
I like your pictures and would be happy to advise on future use of Japanese costume or images related to Japanese arts, such as the tea ceremony.
