My name is Priscilla Barrios and I have been a professional
makeup artist for 8 years. I attended Empire
Academy of Makeup which is ranked as one of the top
make-up artistry schools in the nation. It is the only
makeup school that you have to be accepted to in order
to attend. I completed makeup intro and skin, and also
completed advanced technique makeup class. I have
been doing makeup since I was a little girl and have been
raised around the beauty industry practically all of my
life. My mother was Miss. Peru and was in the top ten in
Miss Woman of the World. After that she became one of
the top makeup artists of her country, as well as training
to be in beauty pageants/runways. She had the ability to
teach other women how to carry themselves with good
poise while feeling comfortable and natural and I’ve inherited
this trait from her through make-up.
My experience in the makeup industry world has twisted
the way I work with all of my clients and the skills I use
when we are on tight- timing, or working under pressure,
keeping a cool head when others are panicking has been
very useful on weddings, runway shows, photo shoots
and other special events. I have the unique talent and
training to do that special look that compliments the
client’s best features. I ensure that the style of make-up
I do will be up-to-date and avoid any trends that will
soon diminish within the next season. I accentuate the
positives in each individual’s face for an ageless look,
one that is classic, sophisticated and beautiful without
looking dated or old-fashioned. Even if they never wear
makeup, I can make a client feel like and look like themselves
and still maintain a glamorous look. Most of all,
having me as your makeup artist will take much stress
off your shoulders and able you to relax and know that
you are in good, professional and experienced hands.
I am available to give lectures to cosmetologists, estheticians,
spa owners and makeup artists about the art of
makeup, skin care and all with the purpose of helping
women feel better about themselves.
